Physical Therapy in Oklahoma City
Personalized Physical Therapy Experience
Studio owners Lori Payne and Jennifer Kerr are certified Physical Therapists who specialize in bridging the gap between traditional physical therapy and classical Pilates by finding the source of dysfunction.
“We believe that physical therapy and Pilates are the cornerstone for achieving physical, mental, and emotional equilibrium and that Pilates is the best exercise you can do for your spine, not just because we own a Pilates studio! Pilates provides essential foundational exercises for healthy spinal mobility and core strength.”

Comprehensive Therapy Experience
Individualized, one-on-one treatment plans founded on the fundamental principles of classical Pilates and evidence-based physical therapy. In addition to using the Pilates Method as a therapeutic exercise, our physical therapists incorporate techniques such as dry needling, soft tissue and joint mobilization, and other manual therapy techniques to provide a comprehensive therapeutic experience individualized to each client’s needs.
Physical Therapy
Through the years, we have found that many Physical Therapy clinics are overcrowded, lack one-on-one care, and treat a single body part rather than the whole individual. At Absolute Balance, we solve that problem by offering individualized, one-on-one treatment plans founded on the fundamental principles of classical Pilates and evidence-based physical therapy.
Clinical Pilates
Pilates is a whole-body exercise focusing on alignment, strength, and stability, making it an ideal therapeutic exercise for recovery and rehabilitation from injuries and surgery. By learning how to stabilize hypermobile joints, elongate overtightened muscles, and strengthen weaknesses, our clients are empowered with strong, balanced bodies, allowing us to progress them in their Pilates practice.
Dry needling
Dry needling is a technique used to treat dysfunction of skeletal muscle and connective tissue, minimize pain, and improve or regulate structural or functional damage by using acupuncture needles. A thin needle is inserted into muscle trigger points to help release tension and reduce pain. Unlike acupuncture, no medication is injected.
Dry needling is often incorporated into a broader treatment and wellness plan for conditions like chronic pain and muscle injuries.
Soft Tissue and Joint Mobilization
Joint mobilization is a manual therapy technique comprising a continuum of skilled passive movements that are applied at varying speeds and amplitudes to restore proper arthrokinematic joint motion.
Soft tissue mobilization (STM) is a manual therapy that uses a variety of techniques to manipulate the body’s soft tissues, such as muscles, ligaments, and fascia. The goal of STM is to improve muscle function and range of motion, while reducing pain and swelling.
Scraping Therapy
Scraping therapy is a TCM technique that aims to boost immune function, improve blood circulation, ease muscle tension, and offer pain relief for chronic pain.
